Coffee table (in progress)
A work in progress coffee table allowing me to refine skills designing joinery and using power and hand tools.
Final refinements such as softening the edges of the table top, cutting the flush with the table legs, and applying a medium brown finish are still to be done.
The mortise and tenons to connect the supporting beams to the legs provide an angular accent to the otherwise soft edges and features.
The knots in the wood on the bottom shelf showcase rather than conceal the origins of the material.
